The front door is now on the house, some of the insulation is in, and contractors have started putting the ceiling up inside. Things are starting to happen little by little, but progress is being made. Hopefully, the sheetrock will be up soon as well. Hopefully, the house will make it through Gustav!

Shingles Are On!

My mom and dad finally have shingles on their roof....and just in time considering the little storms that are popping up left and right these days. They also got their doors and windows in this week from Robertson Interiors. The front door has to be stained, but is really pretty. I know my mom is excited about it. My dad and his brothers are working to put the wood and vents under the eaves of the house. The sheetrock should also be floated pretty soon. Things are moving along. I can't wait until they get the brick on.

Slowly But Surely

Another storm blows in on Sunday afternoon and the boys have to call it a day!

Things are coming along slowly but surely at Rebel Yell. The felting on the roof held up incredibly well during Saturday night's storms considering the other damage at my parent's house. The roofers are scheduled to put on the shingles on Tuesday. My dad, his brothers and Colin have been working to put black board up around the gables to get them ready for the brick. Some of the electrical work and duct work for the A/C and heat has been done. My parents also got their tubs and plumbing fixtures in this week also. My mom is going with stainless fixtures in the master bath and Venetian bronze fixtures in the hall bathroom.
